Just routine 9-month checkup stuff. The drama was short-lived and he got a super cute Crayola Band-Aid at the end. But man, I think I prefer shots to this. It felt like eternity watching my sweet boy cry on my lap while we waited for the vial to fill up. And he kept looking up at me like he was thinking, “Mama! Why are you letting them DO this to me?!” I just had to keep reminding myself how relatively minor this temporary pain was. I feel so lucky to have a healthy baby and that this has been the extent of his discomfort. If only the same could be true for every other parent and baby in the world.
